Configuring the localization configuration properties file for Windows operating systems

Follow this procedure to configure the IBM® Cognos® User Interface and Error String Customization Toolkit for Windows operating systems.

Procedure

  1. From the Start menu, click Programs, IBM Cognos 10, Administration, and then click Update Configuration.

    This runs the updateconfig.bat file located in the Cognos UI and Error String Customization Toolkit installation directory named installation_location\bin, and automatically opens the LocalizationConfig.properties file located in the same directory.

  2. Type your values for the variables.
  3. Save the file.

    The configuration is automatically updated.
