Uninstalling the Cognos UI and Error String Customization Toolkit

If you no longer require IBM® Cognos® User Interface and Error String Customization Toolkit, or if you are upgrading, you can only uninstall it by removing the IBM Cognos Software Development Kit.

Before you begin

Before you uninstall it, ensure that you back up any data that you may need in the future, such as files in the source, synchronization, and reference directories.

Before you uninstall on a Windows computer, we recommend that you first close all applications that are currently running.

Procedure

Go to the directory where you installed Cognos Software Development Kit.
Type the appropriate command:
- If you use XWindows, type ./uninst -u
- If you do not use XWindows, type ./uninstcc -u
Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation.
Delete all temporary Internet files.

Results

The uninstall process does not remove any files that changed since the installation. Your installation location remains on your computer, and these files remain until you delete them manually.
