IBM Cognos Sample Programs

ReportParameters.sln - List the Parameters Associated with the Specified Report.

The C# ReportParameters sample program lets you specify a report and retrieve and display the associated parameters.

This sample uses Anonymous authentication only.

Dependent Files

All associated files are contained in the bin directory of the csharp directory.

How To Run The Sample Program

Launch the command window and navigate to the sample program directory.

Type: ReportParameters.exe
A new window will open and will only list the required parameters.

Note: The Report Parameters sample is designed to work with simpleParmValueItem parameters. The sample will not work with other types of parameters such as BoundRange,Unbounded, etc... unless the code is modified.

Expected Results

By default, the parameters for "/content/package[@name='GO Data Warehouse (query)']/folder[@name='SDK Report Samples']/report[@name='Order Method Range List']" report are displayed in the window.

Please note that the samples are not intended to be treated as end-user applications. Refer to the sample code for examples of how to use the API when developing your own applications.
