  12. The sample below defaults for TM1 10.2RP2 and 10.2RP2FP1.

  14. After you update this file, save it as tm1_contribution.atom. You should also update information in 
    15. 

  15. the tm1_<language_code>.properties file located in c10_location\configuration\icd\contributions\contrib directory 
    16. 

  16. on the computer where the IBM Cognos BI Application Tier Components are installed.

  18. You must change the values in one <atom:entry> section for each TM1 server you want to access in Business Insight. If 
    19. 

  19. you have more TM1 servers you want to add, you must add <atom:entry> sections as required. All values for the atom:id 
    20. 

  20. must be unique and use the atom:title, and atom:summary to provide names and descriptions of these TM1 servers.  All .atom
    21. 

  21. entries should point to information defined in the tm1_<language_code>.properties file. 
    22. 

  22. You must comment out any extra <atom:entry> sections.

  24. This sample file contains three <atom:entry> sections:
    25. 

  25. - The first <atom:entry> section is for a TM1Web accessing a TM1 server that does not use Cognos authentication.
    26. 

  26. - The second <atom:entry> section is for a TM1Web accessing a TM1 server that uses Cognos authentication.
    27. 

  27. - The third <atom:entry> section is commented out. It demonstrates the use of the TM1Toolbar option for TM1 servers 
    28. 

  28. version older than 9.5.2; this particular example is for a TM1 server that does not use Cognos authentication.

  30. CAUTION: In configurations where TM1 is not using Cognos authentication, the TM1 credentials 
    31. 

  31. are passed as request parameters and are vulnerable to being logged. In such configurations, there 
    32. 

  32. can be proxies that pass the request en-route to the eventual TM1 Web Server. It is at the customers 
    33. 

  33. risk that these TM1 credentials might be exposed to outside parties.
    34.

  35. In the appropriate <atom:entry> section for the authentication required, replace 
    36. 

  36. the TM1WebHostName and TM1HostName values with the name or IP address of the TM1 Web server and TM1 server.

  38. For a TM1 server that does not use IBM Cognos authentication, change the TM1DataServer variable and 
    39. 

  39. the credentials of the TM1 administrator account as follows:

  42. Note: Replace TM1ServerHostWithoutCAM with the name of the TM1 Data Server. For

  44. specify TM1DataServer=Planning%2520Sample. Replace admin and apple with the user ID 
    45. 

  45. and password of the administrator account that is used for the TM1 server.

  47. For a TM1 server that uses IBM Cognos authentication, change the TM1DataServer variable as follows:

  53. FilterPackages: (CAN BE USED FROM TM1 10.2) TM1 iWidgets can interact with filters and facets and the optional parameter FilterPackages is available

  54. to permit this.  As most other iWidgets rely on package names to identify themselves to the filters and facets, the optional parameter

  55. FilterPackages can be added to the atom:link to permit TM1 iWidgets to use the same filters and facets as other iWidgets.

  56. If the FilterPackages parameter is not passed or empty, the filters and facets will not be able to be shared with other iWidgets.

  64. TM1WebPort: (CAN BE USED FROM TM1 10.2) This property is the number of the port on which TM1Web is running.  The default value of TM1WebPort is 9510.
