- <p class="FormLabel">Initial Setup:</p>

- 1. Log on to IBM Cognos Connection as an administrator.<br>
- 2. In the folder <b>Public Folders>Samples>Models</b>, click the <b>GO Sales (query)</b> package.<br>
- 3. For the Report Studio Report Samples folder, click Set Properties.<br>
- 4. Click the <b>Permissions</b> tab.<br>
- 5. Select the <b>Override the access permissions acquired from the parent entry</b> checkbox.<br>
- 6. Click the <b>Add</b> button.<br>
- 7. Click the name of the namespace that includes the user for which you want to modify permissions.<br>
- 8. Select the <b>Show users in the list</b> checkbox.<br>
- 9. Select the checkbox of the user that you want to add, and click <b>Add</b>.<br>
- The user now appears in the lower pane named <b>Entries to be added</b>.<br>
- 10. In this lower pane, select the checkbox of the user that you just added, and click <b>OK</b>.<br>
- The user now appears in the list. The user has no permissions.<br>
- 11. Select the checkbox of the user that you just added.<br>
- 12. In the Grant and Deny pane on the right side of the page, select the <b>Read</b> checkbox under the
- Grant column, and click <b>OK</b>.
- The user is now granted Read permission.

- A window will be opened containing:<br>
- - Set Permissions command button<br>
- - URL text box<br>
- - Results Display Window <br>
- Click on the 'Set Permissions' button to run the sample program.</p>
