systems do the following:</p>
 <ol class="ol" type="a"><li class="li">From the <span class="ph uicontrol">Start</span> menu, click <span class="ph uicontrol">Programs</span>, <span class="ph uicontrol">IBM
Cognos 10</span>, <span class="ph uicontrol">Administration</span>, <span class="ph uicontrol">Synchronize</span>.</li>
</ol>

<li class="li choice"><p class="p">For UNIX or Linux operating systems, do the
following:</p>
<ol class="ol" type="a"><li class="li">Open a command line and go to the location where Cognos® UI and Error String Customization Toolkit
is installed.</li>
<li class="li">Type <kbd class="ph userinput">//<var class="keyword varname">installation_location</var>/bin&gt;localize.sh
sync</kbd> </li>
</ol>

The processing may take a few minutes. After it is finished,
you can <a class="xref" href="ug_ldk_c_localizethetext.html#LocalizetheText" title="Customize the messages and user interface text in the files that are located in the synchronization directory.">customize
